Qont Account Terms

Qont Accounts Program Terms and Conditions

Governing Law: For Australian applicants, account holders, and Australian transactions, these Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. For United States applicants, account holders, and United States transactions, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any mandatory non-excludable law applying in another jurisdiction continues to apply to the extent it cannot lawfully be excluded.

These Terms and Conditions govern the Qont Accounts program operated under the public-facing name Qont, with Qont Inc. as the legal entity behind the program. By applying for a Qont Account, accepting these Terms, paying an account fee, selecting an account level, or using any account-related pricing benefit, the applicant or account holder agrees to these Terms.

These Terms establish the master framework for all current and future Qont Accounts. The product-specific mechanics for each account sit in the Product Schedules attached to these Terms. If there is any inconsistency between these master Terms and a Product Schedule, the Product Schedule prevails only to the extent of that inconsistency and only for that product.

I. Nature of Program

Qont Accounts is an account-based membership, pricing, and account program offered by Qont for eligible trade and construction work. It is not a bank account, deposit product, savings product, investment, stored-value facility, regulated deposit-taking facility, managed investment scheme, or other financial product unless Qont expressly states otherwise in writing.

Any use of words such as “account,” “savings,” “saver,” “rate,” “member value,” or similar expressions in relation to Qont Accounts describes only the internal pricing mechanics, program structure, and member benefit settings of the Qont Accounts program. Those expressions do not represent interest, accrued monetary growth, deposit protection, capital return, investment yield, or any equivalent banking or financial product outcome.

II. Account Structure

Qont may offer one or more Qont Accounts from time to time, including youth, personal, project, small business, and higher-value business account products. Each account product may have its own account level range, pricing range, threshold, application limit, exclusions, eligibility settings, and special conditions.

Only one Qont Account may be active per account holder at a time unless Qont expressly states otherwise in writing. Only one account benefit may be applied to any eligible job.

III. Application and Acceptance

A Qont Account is not active merely because a person applies, accepts these Terms, or attempts payment. Qont may approve, refuse, defer, suspend, withdraw, or cancel any application or account at its discretion, subject to applicable law.

No account becomes active until Qont confirms activation. Qont may require identity information, payment verification, contact verification, business details, age verification, parental consent, supporting documents, or any other information Qont considers reasonably necessary before activation.

Acceptance of these Terms may occur through online application, written application, digital acceptance, or another application pathway approved by Qont, together with Qont approval and account activation.

IV. Under-18 Applicants

Where a Qont Account is offered to an applicant under 18 years of age, including under the Qont Youth Savings Account, parent or guardian consent is required. Qont may require a parent or guardian to co-apply, co-approve, guarantee payment responsibility, or remain responsible for account compliance, depending on the product and circumstances.

Qont may refuse, suspend, or cancel any under-18 account where parent or guardian involvement is absent, withdrawn, unreliable, or no longer satisfactory to Qont.

V. Billing and Account Levels

Each Qont Account has a recurring membership fee tied to the selected account level. The selected weekly account level may be billed weekly, fortnightly, or annually, with weekly billing as the default unless another available cycle is selected.

Where Qont bills fortnightly or annually, Qont may charge the weekly account level on the equivalent amount for that billing cycle. Qont may apply reasonable rounding and administrative handling consistent with the billing cycle and applicable law.

All Australian amounts are stated and billed in AUD. For United States applicants or U.S. program operation, Qont may state or bill equivalent USD amounts, and may convert amounts using a processor rate, banking rate, internal rate, or other reasonable conversion basis selected by Qont.

VI. Auto-Renewal, Cancellation, and Continuation

Qont Accounts auto-renew until cancelled unless Qont expressly states otherwise for a particular product or campaign.

Cancellation takes effect for future billing periods only. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, no refund is due for the current paid billing period merely because an account holder cancels partway through it.

Qont may require cancellation through the account portal, an approved written method, or another cancellation channel Qont makes available. Where law requires a simpler cancellation process, Qont will comply to the extent required.

If an account is cancelled, suspended, expires, or is terminated, the pricing mechanics and related account benefits cease unless Qont expressly states otherwise in writing. No pricing benefit carries over after cancellation or suspension unless Qont expressly allows it.

VII. Account Rates, Pricing Mechanics, Thresholds, and Application Limits

Any stated account rate, account rate range, account level, rate cap, threshold, pricing application, or value reference is a pricing mechanic within the Qont Accounts program only. It is not interest, not a return on money, not accrued growth of stored funds, and not a deposit or investment outcome.

Account pricing mechanics apply only while the relevant account is active, paid, approved by Qont, and used on eligible future work accepted by Qont. They apply only within the threshold, application limit, rate cap, exclusions, and product settings stated by Qont for the relevant account.

Standard pricing applies outside applicable thresholds, limits, exclusions, product settings, service areas, or eligibility conditions.

VIII. Eligible Work and Use of Account Benefits

Qont Accounts apply only to eligible trade and construction work approved by Qont. Eligibility may vary by applicant, job type, scope, timing, value, location, division, contractor availability, workforce availability, project requirements, operational capacity, and other commercial or practical considerations.

Qont may refuse to apply an account benefit where the relevant work is outside scope, below threshold, above the application limit, ineligible, non-compliant, impractical, high-risk, urgent, after-hours, geographically unsupported, subcontractor-dependent beyond Qont’s preference, or otherwise unsuitable for the program.

An account does not guarantee job acceptance, quote acceptance, service coverage, contractor availability, worker availability, trade availability, timing, or supply of any work in any area or at any time.

IX. BNPL and Payment Methods

References to BNPL mean Qont may accept approved buy now pay later methods on eligible jobs where available. Qont does not itself provide credit, lending, or BNPL facilities unless Qont expressly states otherwise in writing.

BNPL approval is not guaranteed. External provider terms, limits, approval criteria, fees, repayment conditions, availability settings, and jurisdictional restrictions apply. BNPL availability may vary by job, amount, timing, location, provider approval, and operational suitability.

Qont may accept, reject, or limit payment methods for account fees or eligible jobs at its discretion, subject to applicable law.

X. Payment Failure, Reversals, and Refunds

Account fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where Qont expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

If a payment fails, is declined, is reversed, is disputed, or becomes the subject of a chargeback, Qont may immediately suspend, downgrade, or cancel the relevant account and all related account benefits. Qont may also recover unpaid amounts, processor costs, and reasonable administrative or recovery costs to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Qont may refuse reactivation until all outstanding issues are resolved.

XI. Approval, Activation, and Ongoing Eligibility

Account eligibility and continued activation may depend on applicant type, age, identity, payment status, account history, compliance, work profile, region, business status, and other criteria Qont considers relevant.

Submission of an application does not guarantee approval, work acceptance, account activation, service coverage, quoted rates, job availability, workforce availability, contractor availability, or timing of delivery.

Qont may request updated information or re-verification at any time.

XII. No Guarantee of Savings, Suitability, or Outcome

Qont gives no guarantee of savings, no guarantee of suitability, and no guarantee that any account will produce any particular commercial, financial, or practical outcome.

Any statement that value builds while an account remains active refers only to the applicable pricing position associated with the active account level and does not represent stored monetary value, accumulated capital, accrued interest, deposit growth, investment yield, or any comparable financial result.

Any examples, illustrations, calculators, rate displays, thresholds, or account comparisons are subject to eligibility, scope, exclusions, operational acceptance, and applicable job settings.

XIII. Service Availability and Operational Limits

An account does not guarantee worker availability, contractor availability, trade availability, geographic coverage, quote acceptance, booking acceptance, priority dispatch, service timing, or supply of any work in any area or at any time.

Qont may be unable to support particular jobs, account uses, or locations due to workforce shortage, contractor shortage, service-area limits, operational constraints, safety concerns, compliance issues, material shortages, location impracticality, commercial unsuitability, or other business limitations.

XIV. Product Schedules

The Product Schedules form part of these Terms and set out the current published mechanics for each Qont Account product.

Qont may update, replace, suspend, or withdraw a Product Schedule at any time, subject to applicable law. If a schedule is amended for an active account, Qont may apply the updated schedule from the effective date stated by Qont, subject to any notice required by law.

XV. Marketing, Website Material, and Illustrative Content

Account pages, account cards, comparison content, value references, examples, graphics, charts, application paths, and promotional materials may be illustrative, summarised, stylised, or scenario-based unless Qont expressly states otherwise.

Qont may publish, compare, promote, or explain accounts using simplified card formats or marketing language, but the legal position is governed by these Terms, the Product Schedules, and any additional Qont terms expressly incorporated by reference.

XVI. Account Holder Conduct and Misuse

An account holder must not misuse the program, manipulate billing cycles, stack benefits unlawfully, open duplicate accounts, misrepresent eligibility, abuse refunds or chargebacks, attempt to circumvent thresholds, or otherwise interfere with the proper operation of the program.

Qont may suspend, reverse, adjust, or terminate benefits where it suspects abuse, fraud, deception, or conduct inconsistent with these Terms.

XVII. Qont Rights to Change, Suspend, or Terminate

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qont may change, suspend, cap, refuse, reprice, re-level, withdraw, cancel, or terminate any account, application, benefit, threshold, account level, pricing structure, schedule, account feature, offer, or program setting at any time.

Qont may also restrict access, decline renewal, discontinue a product, merge products, or migrate account holders to a replacement structure where Qont considers it commercially or operationally appropriate, subject to applicable law.

Where law requires prior notice for a material change, renewal change, billing change, or cancellation mechanism, Qont will comply to the extent required.

XVIII. Liability and Non-Reliance

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qont excludes indirect, incidental, special, punitive, and consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the Qont Accounts program, including loss of opportunity, loss of expected savings, loss of expected work access, loss of expected pricing treatment, or loss arising from service unavailability or account changes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qont’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Qont Accounts program is limited, at Qont’s option, to re-supplying the affected account benefit, re-crediting the relevant account fee, or the amount of account fees paid for the affected billing period.

The account holder acknowledges that it has not relied on any statement outside these Terms, the applicable Product Schedule, and any written Qont document expressly incorporated into the program.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

XIX. Privacy and Program Administration

Qont may collect, use, store, and disclose applicant and account-holder information for account administration, billing, fraud prevention, service coordination, analytics, pricing administration, support, marketing, and related business purposes in accordance with Qont’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.

XX. General

If any provision of these Terms is invalid, unlawful, void, or unenforceable, it is to be read down to the minimum extent necessary and otherwise severed without affecting the remainder.

A failure or delay by Qont in exercising a right does not waive that right.

These Terms operate together with the Product Schedules, Qont’s website terms, payment terms, privacy policy, and any job-specific terms Qont issues. In the event of inconsistency, Qont may specify the order of precedence in writing, subject to applicable law.

Important information

Qont Accounts are account-based membership, pricing, and account programs offered by Qont for eligible trade and construction work. They are not bank accounts, deposit products, savings products, financial investments, or regulated deposit-taking facilities.

All account rates, account rate ranges, pricing applications, thresholds, value references, seasonal or member benefits, and related features apply only as described by Qont and only to eligible work approved by Qont. Standard pricing applies outside applicable thresholds, limits, scopes, service areas, or eligibility settings.

Acceptance, availability, service coverage, workforce availability, contractor availability, pricing, member benefits, account eligibility, and program terms may vary by applicant, work type, timing, location, project requirements, and operational capacity. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval, work acceptance, account activation, service coverage, quoted rates, job availability, or timing of delivery.

Any reference to value building while an account remains active refers only to the applicable pricing structure connected to the active account level and does not represent deposit growth, accrued interest, stored monetary value, investment yield, capital return, or any equivalent banking or financial product outcome.

BNPL references mean Qont may accept approved buy now pay later methods on eligible jobs where available. Qont does not itself provide credit, lending, or BNPL facilities unless expressly stated otherwise. External provider terms, approval criteria, and conditions apply.

Qont reserves the right to amend, suspend, withdraw, or refuse accounts, benefits, account levels, pricing structures, thresholds, applications, offers, or related services at any time, subject to applicable law and the governing terms and conditions.

Applicants should read all applicable terms carefully and consider whether a Qont Account is suitable for their circumstances before applying.
